MrfixitRick demonstrates a magnetically-coupled Salad Spinner run by the Tesla CD Turbine on faucet water pressure.

The CD Turbine is a homemade Tesla Turbine made from recycled CD's, CD cakebox, a nozzle and neodymium magnets. And glue. Lots of glue.

This labour-saving device is, of course, ridiculous. But hey, it works!

Nikola Tesla patented the original Tesla Turbine in the early 1900's. His design makes use of the boundary layer effect with flat discs instead of the blades or cups in a traditional turbine.
